AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF REVERE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 12 of chapter 41 or section 18 of chapter 43 of the General Laws, the city clerk of the city of Revere shall serve a term of 5 years from the date of the city clerk’s appointment.
SECTION 2. The city clerk serving on the effective date of this act may continue to serve until January 25, 2013, and thereafter the city clerk shall serve a term of 5 years from the date of appointment.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
