The committee on Ways and Means, to whom was referred the Senate Bill to protect youth from the health risks of tobacco and nicotine addiction (Senate, No. 2152),-- reports, recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment substituting a new draft with the same title (Senate, No. 2234) (also accompanied by Senate, No. 747 and House, No. 2434).

Emergency Preamble
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purposes, which are to immediately protect children and others from addiction to, and the harmful health effects of, tobacco and nicotine, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety and health.
The House has not filed any amendments for this bill or has yet to receive this bill from the other branch.
