By Representative Galvin of Canton and Senator Feeney, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3937) of William C. Galvin and Paul R. Feeney (by vote of the town) that the town of Canton be authorized to grant easements of certain land of said town situated in the town of Stoughton for highway purposes. Emergency Preamble

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to authorize forthwith the town of Canton to grant certain easements to the commonwealth for highway purposes, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
