Mortgages

Establishes two regional mortgage review boards and one statewide small business loan review board within the Massachusetts Division of Banks. The mortgage boards will review residential loan denials based on property location and must respond to appeals within 45 days. The small business board will review denied small business loan applications it deems unreasonably rejected and must respond within 30 to 60 days, also offering alternative financing resources. Both initiatives aim to increase transparency, accountability, and equitable access to credit across the Commonwealth.
