The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF WESTPORT AS THE LEO J. ST. ONGE BRIDGE.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Westport as the Leo J. St. Onge Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

The bridge on Davis road spanning interstate highway 195 in the town of Westport shall be designated and known as the Leo J. St. Onge Bridge, in honor of Leo J. St. Onge, a decorated hero of World War II. The division of highways within the Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing that designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, April 15, 2011.
