AN ACT INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CITY OF LOWELL BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS FROM 3 TO 5 MEMBERS
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 26 of chapter 383 of the acts of 1921 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The board of license commissioners shall consist of 5 members, and as the terms of the present members expire, the mayor shall nominate their successors, subject to confirmation by a majority vote of all the members of the city council, for terms of 6 years.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
