Representative Judith A. Garcia Democrat - 11th Suffolk

State Representative Judith Garcia, a proud Chelsea, Massachusetts native, has dedicated her career to public service. In the Massachusetts Legislature, she serves on the Joint Committees for Public Health and Public Service. Before her legislative tenure, she worked in healthcare at a Boston nonprofit and in the private sector, focusing on cybersecurity. In a historic achievement, she became the first Latina to represent the 11th Suffolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives after serving several terms on the Chelsea City Council.

Beyond her elected roles, Garcia has contributed to U.S. diplomatic efforts, participating in missions to Brussels, Russia, and Taiwan. In 2022, she was appointed by the U.S. National Security Council as an advisor on Honduran affairs in preparation for Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to the country. Her time abroad, including studying Arabic in the Middle East and contributing to urban planning efforts in Muscat, Oman, has deepened her perspective on community development and governance.

Recently, Garcia was selected by the National Association of Latino Elected Officials to lead a bipartisan training program for newly elected state legislators nationwide. Her leadership and unwavering commitment to public service continue to shape her impactful work at the local and state level.
