PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Topic: Bills concerning social media, cryptocurrency, internet access and broadband, community media funding, and cybersecurity

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, the Joint Committee on Advanced Information Technology, the Internet and Cybersecurity is conducting a hybrid public hearing on bills related to social media, cryptocurrency, internet access and broadband, community media funding, and cybersecurity. The hearing is scheduled to last from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Individuals who wish to testify may sign up by completing THIS FORM.

Individuals planning to testify virtually must sign up no later than 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 8. The Committee will take signups to testify on the day of the hearing, but to ensure the Committee can hear from as many individuals as possible, we ask that you please sign up in advance. Oral testimony will be limited to 3 minutes, but longer statements will be accepted by written testimony until Monday, July 14 at 5:00 PM.

This hearing will be chaired by Chair Moore and will include the matters listed on the docket below. Please be advised that all House matters being considered are required to be reported on by September 8, 2025, subject to extensions consistent with House Rule 27.
