AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE SOMERVILLE BUDGET.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
'B>SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 32 of chapter 44 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the mayor of the city of Somerville may submit the annual budget to the board of aldermen not later than July 31, 1999. The city may maintain a continuing appropriation budget until annual budget appropriations are made for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1999.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
