AN ACT VALIDATING A CERTAIN VOTE PASSED BY THE TOWN OF WESTBOROUGH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or special law to the contrary, the vote passed by the voters of the town of Westborough at the election held on March 2, 1999 to exempt from the provisions ofsection 21C of chapter 59 of the General Laws, the amounts required to pay for the bonds to be issued in order to construct, equip and furnish an addition to the Westborough high school; to design, remodel, reconstruct and make extraordinary repairs to the current high school or its original equipment; and to design, construct, equip and furnish a new elementary school including, land or easement acquisition costs, is hereby ratified, validated and confirmed, notwithstanding any defect or omission in the calling of said election as it relates to said vote.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
