AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE RETIREMENT AND HEALTH INSURANCE OF CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICIALS IN THE TOWN OF TYRINGHAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 32 or chapter 32B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, an elected official in the town of Tyringham who receives regular annual compensation that is less than $3,000, adjusted annually according to the national consumer price index issued by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics as of June 30, shall not be eligible for the benefits provided under said chapter 32 or said chapter 32B; provided, however, that an elected official in office on January 1, 2006 who continues to serve in such capacity without interruption shall continue to be eligible for such benefits.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
