AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE GEOGRAPHIC LIMITS OF FIRE DISTRICT NO. 2 IN THE TOWN OF SOUTH HADLEY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 79 of chapter 48 of the General Laws or any other general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, the geographical boundary line of the northern section of Fire District No. 2 in the town of South Hadley shall be extended to conform to the northern boundary line of the town of South Hadley so that the northern section of the town shall be annexed to South Hadley Fire District No. 2. All property, land or territory within the boundaries of the town of South Hadley that lie north of the South Hadley Fire District No. 2 northern boundary, south of the towns of Amherst and Hadley, west of Granby and east of the Connecticut river shall be annexed to and included in said Fire District No. 2.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
