AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE ELIGIBILITY OF WARD COUNCILORS-ELECT IN THE CITY OF GARDNER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, regulation, by-law or charter provision to the contrary, a person duly elected in the city of Gardner 2011 general city election to serve as a ward councilor who, following the election, is subject to disqualification from serving as a ward councilor as a result of the 2010 redrawing of precinct lines may continue to serve as the ward councilor until the next general election.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
