AN ACT DESIGNATING BRIDGE STREET BYPASS ROAD IN THE CITY OF SALEM AS SERGEANT JAMES AYUBE MEMORIAL DRIVE.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain road in the city of Salem, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

The Bridge street bypass road in the city of Salem shall be designated and known as Sergeant James Ayube Memorial Drive. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing that designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, June 3 , 2011.
