AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF IPSWICH.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the cemetery and parks commission of the town of Ipswich may transfer the care, custody and control of 2 parcels of land, consisting of 1,233 square feet, more or less, and shown as parcels "SW-1" and "SW-2" on a plan entitled "Plan of Land Showing Location of Land Transfers and Town Alteration of North Main Street and Meetinghouse Green in the Town of Ipswich, Essex County, Scale: 20 feet to the inch, Date: October 14, 2010, revised on April 11, 2011”, prepared by Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., a copy of which is on file in the office of the town clerk, to the board of selectmen to be used for sidewalk purposes, said parcels now being a portion of the parcel of land known as the North Green.

SECTION 2. In consideration for the transfer of land authorized in section 1, the board of selectmen shall transfer the care, custody and control of 3 parcels of land, consisting of 4,935 square feet, more or less, and shown on the plan described in said section 1 as parcels “A”, “B” and “C”, to the cemetery and parks commission to be used for park purposes.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
