AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN OF THE TOWN OF MIDDLEBOROUGH TO IMPOSE FEES FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF OUTSIDE CONSULTANTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule, regulation or by-law to the contrary, the board of selectmen of the town of Middleborough may provide by rules for the imposition of reasonable fees for the employment of outside consultants in connection with such town’s review of earth removal permit applications and shall account for and expend such funds in accordance with section 53G of chapter 44 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
