AN ACT RELATIVE TO IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 8E of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
An identification card or any renewal thereof issued under this section shall expire on an anniversary of the date of birth of the person to whom the identification card was issued, occurring more than 12 months but not more than 60 months after the effective date of the identification card. The anniversary date for an identification card issued to an applicant born on February 29 shall be March 1.

SECTION 2. Section 34B of chapter 138 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word "ninety,", in line 13, the following words:- or on an identification card issued under section 8E of chapter 90,.

SECTION 3. Said section 34B of said chapter 138, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word "card", in line 22, the following words:- , or an identification card issued under section 8E of chapter 90,.
