AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE ON ROUTE 6 IN THE CITY OF NEW BEDFORD AS THE ROLAND J. HEBERT BRIDGE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

The Route 6 bridge spanning the channel between the mainland of the city of New Bedford and Fish Island shall be dedicated as the Roland J. Hebert Bridge, in honor of Roland J. Hebert, deputy director and transportation planning manager of the Southeastern Regional Planning & Economic Development District, for his countless contributions and dedication to southeastern Massachusetts and transportation in the commonwealth. The division of highways shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
