AN ACT RELATIVE TO HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS IN THE CITY OF LAWRENCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding paragraph (d) of subdivision 2 of section 3 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any general or special law or regulation to the contrary, building-based educators and long-term substitutes who are employed by the public schools of the city of Lawrence in a full-time, full-year position shall be members of the retirement system of the city of Lawrence pursuant to said chapter 32 and shall be eligible for health insurance coverage through the group insurance commission pursuant to section 19 of chapter 32B of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
