AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE TOWN OF HARVARD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 11 or section 11A of chapter 138 of the General Laws, the board of selectmen of the town of Harvard, acting as the licensing authority for the town pursuant to said chapter 138, is hereby authorized to grant all types of licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises and for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises, regardless of the seating capacity of the restaurant or function room where the beverages will be drunk on the premises, that may be issued by a licensing authority pursuant to said chapter 138 which the board of selectmen has not been authorized to issue. A license issued under this section shall be subject to all of said chapter 138 except said sections 11 or 11A.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
