AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SOMERVILLE TO POSTHUMOUSLY APPOINT SEAN A. COLLIER A POLICE OFFICER FOR THE CITY OF SOMERVILLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the mayor of the city of Somerville may posthumously appoint Sean A. Collier, a resident of the city of Somerville at the time of his death, a police officer for the city of Somerville.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.Approved, May 24 , 2013.
