AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF PETERSHAM TO BORROW OUTSIDE THE DEBT LIMIT FOR A CERTAIN TOWN PROJECT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Petersham may borrow, from time to time, for the removal and disposal of asbestos and related costs from the structure located at 25 Common street in the town of Petersham, commonly known as the Nichewaug Inn and the demolition and removal of said structure, including site remediation costs, for a term of not more than 20 years. Indebtedness incurred under this act shall not be included in determining the limit of indebtedness of the town pursuant to section 10 of chapter 44 of the General Laws but shall otherwise be subject to said chapter 44.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
