AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF NEEDHAM AS THE REVEREND LT. DANIEL J. KENNEDY, USN MEMORIAL BRIDGE
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Needham as the Reverend Lt. Daniel J. Kennedy, USN Memorial Bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
The bridge located on Great Plain avenue spanning state highway route 128 in the town of Needham shall be designated and known as the Reverend Lt. Daniel J. Kennedy, USN Memorial Bridge, in honor of Reverend Daniel J. Kennedy, a United States Navy chaplain. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
