AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE TOWN CHARTER FOR THE TOWN OF IPSWICH
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 27 of chapter 620 of the acts of 1966 is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 1 to 2, inclusive, the words “On or before the tenth day of December of each year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Not later than 100 days before the annual town meeting.
SECTION 2. Said section 27 of said chapter 620 is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 11 to 12, inclusive, the words “together with an estimate of the receipts of the current year”.
SECTION 3. Section 28 of said chapter 620 is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4 to 5, inclusive, the words “On or before the twentieth day of January of each year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- Not later than 65 days before the annual town meeting,.
SECTION 4. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
