AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE MIDDLETON TOWN CHARTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4 of chapter 5 of the charter of the town of Middleton, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-
5-4-2 Two alternate members shall be appointed jointly by the board of selectmen and the planning board for 1-year terms. The chairperson of the planning board may designate an alternate member to sit on the planning board to vote and act on all matters in the event of a board member’s absence, inability to act, conflict of interest or a vacancy on the board.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
