AN ACT ESTABLISHING THE SCUSSET BEACH STATE RESERVATION TRUST FUND

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     Chapter 10 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 35YY, inserted by section 3 of chapter 36 of the acts of 2013, the following section:-
     Section 35ZZ.  (a) There shall be established the Scusset Beach State Reservation Trust Fund to be used, without further appropriation, for the long-term preservation and maintenance of Scusset Beach.  Any balance in the fund at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the General Fund but shall remain available for expenditure in subsequent fiscal years.  No expenditure made from the fund shall cause the fund to become deficient at any point during a fiscal year.
     (b)  The department of conservation and recreation shall impose a surcharge of $2 upon each fee charged and collected from admission into, camping in and parking in the Scusset Beach State Reservation. The additional monies collected from the surcharge shall be deposited into the fund.
