AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE MODERATOR IN THE TOWN OF NEEDHAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 18 of the charter of the town of Needham, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- A moderator shall be elected by ballot at the annual town election for a term of 3 years and shall serve as moderator of all town meetings, except as otherwise provided by law, and until a successor is elected and qualified.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
