AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD TO CONVEY A CERTAIN PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE GREATER SPRINGFIELD HABITAT FOR HUMANITY.

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary but subject to paragraphs (a), (b) and (g) of said section 16 of said chapter 30B, the city of Springfield may directly sell, transfer and convey legal and equitable title to a certain parcel of real property located within the city of Springfield, known as 233 Quincy street, parcel #10015-0077, to Greater Springfield Habitat for Humanity, Inc., for compensation in the amount of $3,000.  The parcel consists of approximately 8840 square feet, more or less, and is further
9517, page 276, being the same premises taken by final judgment for failure to pay taxes by the city of Springfield, dated August 17, 2009, and recorded at the Hampden county registry of deeds at book 17968 and page 416 and in tax lien case 05 TL 132492.
     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
