AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF ORLEANS TO LEASE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding chapter 30B of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary but subject to paragraphs (a), (b) and (g) of section 16 of said chapter 30B, the town of Orleans may lease a portion of a certain parcel of land acquired by the town for general municipal purposes as described in a deed recorded in the Barnstable county registry of deeds in book 15001, page 66 and shown as lot 2 on a plan recorded in said registry in plan book 572, page 77 to the Orleans Historical Society, Inc.  The lease shall be for a term of not more than 99 years and shall be for the purpose of relocating certain historic structures on the land adjacent to the Orleans Historical Society Meeting House.
     SECTION 2.  The board of selectmen of the town of Orleans may determine the terms and conditions of any lease authorized in section 1 as it deems appropriate.
     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
