AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF NANTUCKET TO CONVEY A PORTION OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND IN THE TOWN OF NANTUCKET AND HELD FOR WATER SUPPLY PURPOSES TO THE TOWN OF NANTUCKET TO BE USED FOR ROADWAY PURPOSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Nantucket may transfer, convey or otherwise dispose of a portion of a certain parcel of land in the town, currently held for water supply purposes, to the town of Nantucket to be used for roadway purposes assessor's map 54 as parcel 46, being a portion of 1 Milestone road which was acquired by the town for water supply purposes by a deed recorded in the Nantucket county registry of deeds book 296, page 200.

Any such disposition shall be on such terms and conditions as the board of selectmen deem appropriate, which may include the reservation of restrictions and easements, all as shown on a map entitled "2018 Annual Town Meeting Warrant Article 75" dated January, 2018 and filed with the office of the town clerk.

SECTION 2. As a condition for the conveyance authorized in section 1, the town of Nantucket shall dedicate and hold for open space, recreational or conservation purposes a certain town-owned parcel bounded southerly by Milestone road; westerly by parcel 119 on assessor’s map 54; northerly by Polpis road; and easterly by parcel 93 on assessor’s map 54, containing approximately 1.36 acres.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
