AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF LEE AS THE LOU DIGRIGOLI MEMORIAL BRIDGE.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Lee as the Lou DiGrigoli memorial bridge, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Bridge number L-05-011 on United States highway route 20 on Laurel street spanning the Housatonic river in the town of Lee shall be designated and known as the Lou DiGrigoli memorial bridge, in honor and recognition of Lou DiGrigoli, a civic-minded local businessman committed to the betterment of the town of Lee who passed away suddenly on October 17, 2017 at the age of 69. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing this designation in compliance with the standards of the department.
