AN ACT EXEMPTING THE POSITION OF SEALER OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES IN THE TOWN OF LYNNFIELD FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the position of sealer of weights and measures in the town of Lynnfield shall be exempt from chapter 31 of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. Nothing in this act shall impair the civil service status of the incumbent holding the position of sealer of weights and measures on the effective date of this act.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
