AN ACT ESTABLISHING CERTAIN REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BOARD OF THE COMMONWEALTH HEALTH INSURANCE CONNECTOR.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to forthwith establish certain reporting requirements for the board of the commonwealth health insurance connector, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 176Q of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the figure “18052”, in line 170, the following words:- ; provided, however, that all applications shall be submitted to the joint committee on health care financing and the house and senate committees on ways and means not less than 30 days before the submission to the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services; and provided further, that the board shall report quarterly to the joint committee on health care financing and the house and senate committees on ways and means on the status of active applications submitted pursuant to this clause.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of July 1, 2019.
