AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE TOWN MANAGER IN THE TOWN OF UPTON
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The second paragraph of section 2 of chapter 391 of the acts of 2008 is hereby amended by striking out clauses (e) and (f) and inserting in place thereof the following 3 clauses:-
(e) acting as the town’s chief procurement officer;
(f) signing the warrants for payment of town obligation; and(g) hiring and appointing the board of assessor staff in consultation with the board of assessors, with such staff being subject to the town manager’s authority pursuant to clause (a).
