AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BARNSTABLE COUNTY RETIREMENT BOARD TO ACQUIRE REAL PROPERTY IN THE COUNTY OF BARNSTABLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Barnstable county retirement board, in accordance with guidelines established by the public employee retirement administration commission and in accordance with chapter 30B of the General Laws may purchase an appropriate parcel of real property in the county of Barnstable for use for the administrative office of the Barnstable county retirement association and may purchase or lease equipment and employ any personnel as necessary for the proper administration and transaction of the business of the retirement system.
