AN ACT EXEMPTING PAUL JACQUES FROM THE MAXIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT FOR APPLYING FOR CIVIL SERVICE APPOINTMENT AS A POLICE OFFICER IN THE TOWN OF NORTH ANDOVER.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding section 58 of chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law regulating the maximum age of an applicant for appointment as a police officer to the contrary, Paul Jacques of the town of North Andover shall be eligible to have his name certified for original appointment to the position of police officer in the town of North Andover, notwithstanding his having reached the age of 32 before taking any civil service examination in connection with that appointment. Paul Jacques shall be eligible for appointment to the position of police officer in the town of North Andover if he meets all other requirements for certification and appointment to the position.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
