AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING SEWERS IN THE TOWN OF AUBURN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Chapter 708 of the acts of 1963 is hereby amended by striking out section 10 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-

Section 10.  The board may issue rules and regulations for the: (i) connection of estates and buildings with sewers; and (ii) inspection of the materials; and (iii) construction, alteration and use of all connections entering into such sewers. A person who violates such a rule or regulation shall be punished by a fine of not less than $20 nor more than $500 for each violation. Such a rule or regulation shall not take effect until it has been filed with the clerk of the town of Auburn and in the office of the sewer division of the town of Auburn for 21 days and posted in its entirety on the town of Auburn’s website.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
