AN ACT RENAMING THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN AS THE SELECT BOARD IN THE TOWN OF HUDSON
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1-2 of article 1 of the charter of the town of Hudson, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 2. The first sentence of section 2-7 of article 2 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 3. The second sentence of said section 2-7 of said article 2 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 4. Section 3-1 of article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 5. Subsection (d) of section 3-3 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen”, each time it appears, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 6. Section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the title and inserting in place thereof the following title:- SELECT BOARD.
SECTION 7. Subsection (a) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 8. Subsection (c) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 9. Subsection (d) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 10. Subsection (e) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 11. Subsection (f) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 12. Subsection (g) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 13. Subsection (h) of said section 3-4 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 14. Subsection (a) of section 3-7 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 15. Subsection (b) of said section 3-7 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 16. Subsection (c) of said section 3-7 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 17. Subsection (c) of section 3-8 of said article 3 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 18. Subsection (a) of section 4-1 of article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 19. Subsection (d) of said section 4-1 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 20. Section 4-2 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 21. Subsection (b) of section 4-3 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 22. Subsection (c) of said section 4-3 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 23. The last sentence of said subsection (c) of said section 4-3 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 24. Subsection (f) of said section 4-3 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 25. Subsection (h) of said section 4-3 of said article 4 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.

SECTION 38. The first paragraph of section 5-1-2 of article 5 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 39. Subsection (a) of said section 5-1-2 of said article 5 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 40. Subsection (b) of said section 5-1-2 of said article 5 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 41. Section 5-2 of said article 5 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 42. Section 5-4 of said article 5 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen”, each time they appear, and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- select board.
SECTION 43. Section 6-2 of article 6 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 44. Section 6-3 of said article 6 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 45. Section 6-4 of said article 6 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the word “selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 46. Subsection (a) of section 6-5 of said article 6 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 47. Section 6-8 of said article 6 of said charter is hereby amended by striking out the words “board of selectmen” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- select board.
SECTION 48. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
