AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN BRIDGE IN THE TOWN OF ORLEANS AS THE NORMAN WOOD FINCH MEMORIAL BRIDGE

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain bridge in the town of Orleans, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Bridge number O04001 at pleasant bay landing on state highway route 28 in the town of Orleans shall be designated and known as the Norman Wood Finch memorial bridge, in honor and recognition of his service in the United States Coast Guard. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

Approved, December 20, 2022.
