AN ACT EXPANDING ACCESS TO ADOPTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2-114 of chapter 190B of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-
(c) No adopted individual shall, by being adopted by any person related by consanguinity to the adopted individual, lose their right to inherit from their natural parents or kindred.
SECTION 2. Section 1 of chapter 210 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4 and 5, the words “, or brother, sister, uncle or aunt, of the whole or half blood”.
