AN ACT AMENDING THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF MILLIS

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. Section III-5 of article III of the charter of the town of Millis, which is on file in the office of the archivist of the commonwealth, as provided in section 12 of chapter 43B of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding the following clause:-
         k. Approve all payroll and expense warrants for payment of town funds; provided, however, that such approval shall be sufficient authority to authorize payment of the same by the town treasurer; provided further, that in the event of the absence of the town administrator, the select board shall have the authority to approve such warrants; and provided further, that if a vacancy exists in the office of the town administrator, the select board may approve all such warrants or may delegate such authority to an interim town administrator.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
