Representative Judith A. Garcia Democrat - 11th Suffolk

State Representative Judith Garcia, a proud Chelsea native, has dedicated her career to public service. In the Massachusetts Legislature, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities and has membership on the House and Joint Committee on Ways and Means, Joint Committee on Health Care Financing, and Joint Committee on Education.

Before her legislative tenure, she worked in healthcare at a Boston nonprofit and in the private sector, focusing on cybersecurity. In a historic achievement, she became the first woman to represent the 11th Suffolk District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives after serving several terms on the Chelsea City Council.

Beyond her elected roles, Garcia has contributed to U.S. diplomatic efforts, participating in missions to Brussels, Russia, and Taiwan. In 2022, she was appointed by the U.S. National Security Council as an advisor on Honduran affairs in preparation for Vice President Kamala Harris’s visit to the country.

In her spare time, Garcia is dedicated to empowering political leaders across party lines. In 2024, Garcia was selected by the National Association of Latino Elected Officials to lead a bipartisan training program for newly elected state legislators nationwide. Her dedication to public service drives her work at both the local and state levels.
