Throughout his career, Representative Scibak has served as a strong advocate for disabled persons, infant and youth services, senior programs, veterans’ benefits, and reducing the high cost of prescription drugs. He is also committed to ensuring equal access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare for all who live in Massachusetts. Furthermore, he has concentrated on improving the quality of education at all levels, from preschool programs to higher education, as well as increasing access to workforce training and economic development programs across the Commonwealth.

Career Highlights

  • Representative Scibak began his career in higher education as an Assistant Professor of Special Education at Indiana University and worked for many years as both a researcher and administrator in health care and human services
  • Rep. Scibak also was the lead sponsor of legislation which established a comprehensive, statewide program to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome in Massachusetts
