AN ACT RELATIVE TO THE ISSUANCE OF CERTAIN BONDS BY THE TOWN OF AUBURN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Auburn may issue bonds or notes in an amount not in excess of $4,000,000 for the cost of public lighting installations, placing utility lines and related structures and facilities underground, and other improvements along Route 12 in said town, in conjunction with the reconstruction of said Route 12 by the commonwealth, for a term not in excess of 20 years from their date of issue. Except as otherwise provided in this act, such bonds or notes shall be subject to the applicable provisions of chapter 44 of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
