AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF TIMOTHY PACHECO AS A FIREFIGHTER IN THE TOWN OF ARLINGTON.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the second paragraph of section 58 of
chapter 31 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the
contrary regulating the maximum age of applicants for appointment as a
firefighter, the personnel administrator of the human resources division shall
certify Timothy Pacheco to be eligible for original appointment to the
position of firefighter in the town of Arlington according to the grade he received on the examination for firefighter. If Timothy Pacheco meets all
other requirements for certification as a firefighter, the town of Arlington
may appoint him.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
