AN ACT AUTHORIZING CERTAIN INVESTMENTS BY THE TREASURER OF THE TOWN OF BROOKLINE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:


SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 54 of chapter 44 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the treasurer of the town of Brookline is hereby authorized to invest the funds of the town in the custody of the treasurer in accordance with sections 3, 4, 5, 8, and 9 of chapter 203C, of the General Laws.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

This Bill having been returned by His Excellency the Governor with his objections thereto in writing (see House 4607) has been passed by the House of Representatives, notwithstanding said objections, two-thirds of the House (148 yeas to 2 nays) having agreed to pass the same.
