AN ACT EXEMPTING THE POSITION OF DEPUTY CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF EASTHAMPTON FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
SECTION 1. The position of deputy chief of the fire department of the city of Easthampton shall not be subject to chapter 31 of the General Laws.
SECTION 2. Section l shall not impair the civil service status of any person holding the office of deputy chief of the fire department of the city of Easthampton on the effective date of this act.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
