AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE BARNSTABLE COUNTY SEPTIC LOAN PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 381 of the acts of 2004 is hereby amended by striking out section 1 and inserting in place thereof the following section:-
Section 1. Upon the request of the municipal council or board of selectmen of any town within Barnstable county, the county commissioners of Barnstable county may assume and exercise all or any portion of the powers of the town, including the powers of the town's board of health, under section 127B 1/2 of chapter 111 of the General Laws for the purpose of entering into agreements with owners of structures for human habitation for the repair, replacement or upgrade of septic systems required under the state environmental code under section 13 of chapter 21A of the General Laws.
