The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR ANN BREVIK, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is forthwith to establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the department of social services, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the commissioner of the department of social services shall establish a sick leave bank for Ann Brevik, an employee of said department. Any employee of the department of social services may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to said sick leave bank for use by said Ann Brevik. Whenever said Ann Brevik terminates employment with said department or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.

Approved February 14, 2007.
