The 193rd General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

AN ACT DESIGNATING A COURTROOM IN THE MARLBOROUGH DISTRICT COURTHOUSE AS THE JONATHAN BRANT COURTROOM.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designate forthwith a certain courtroom in the city of Marlborough as the Jonathan Brant Courtroom, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

The courtroom presently known as “Courtroom A” in the Marlborough district courthouse shall be designated and known as the Jonathan Brant courtroom, in recognition of the Honorable Jonathan Brant for his many contributions to the judiciary, his community and the commonwealth. The division of capital asset management and maintenance shall erect suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the division.

Approved, December 1, 2010.
